Count Down Blocks

These blocks are a cute way to count down to many occasions. Each can count down from 32. Some are more "Christmasy" than others but you can use them to count down to anything; birthdays, vacations, end of school....anything.

Corn Bags

These bags are filled with feed corn. You can either use them as a heating pad or as an ice pack. We use ours for both.

They have a flannel "pillow case" that can be removed and washed.

Turkey Time

Here's a salute to the old sucker tree. We made these turkeys so you can add suckers to their tails. They do look better with Mini Tootsie Pops because the wrappers are a more solid and harvesty color.

And of course, I had to make some blocks too. Dont you love the legs on that turkey?!

These are a few of the blocks I made that have different sayings on them. This set ended up with some bubbles that the camera highlighted but I think they're still cute.

Halloween Blocks

Dryer Duct Pumpkins

Just a cute and different idea for decorating your home for Halloween or fall. This pumpkin is made out of flexible dryer duct. You form a circle and hot glue the ends together. Then you spray paint it with orange spray paint. The stem is 3 cinnamon sticks glued together. Then you can spice up the pumpkin in whatever fashion that pleases your fancy.
This first pumpkin is our traditional harvest pumpkin with the raffia bow. I have about 4 strands of raffia on this one.


If you are not a raffia person you can tie a bow. We chose purple and black to stick with the halloween theme, but if you would like a harvest pumpkin for thanksgiving you could use a brown, yellow or green bow.

My kids told be that Halloween pumpkins needed to be Jack-O-Lanterns, so we cut out a face out of cardstock and glued it to this pumpkin. You could use black paint and paint a more permanent face on your Jack-O-Lanterns. I am planning on letting my kids each make their own and they can paint a face on them, but this one was just temporary for the picture because I prefer mine without the face.

Apple WELCOME

These are wooden apples that are each covered with different patterned paper. They are connected by wire that I have coiled. The first one has raffia on it because I love raffia. The last picture has it without for those who would like to see it without.

Magnet Board Calendars

These Calendars are printed on Sheets of Steel. We have different magnets for each month. On holidays and birthdays, we have pictures instead of the date numbers.

Birthday Calendars

Our birthday calendars have a hook for each month. Below each month, we hang a wooden character to represent each person who has a birthday for that month. On the wooden characters, we have the persons name and date on the front and on the back has the month and year that they were born.

Personal Chore Charts

We have always had some sort of chore chart in our home, but they always seem to fall apart after a few months. I made this out of wood. They each have 5 hooks for each day of the week (except weekends). I then have wooden hearts with chores written on them. We change our chores every week, so that the kids don't get bored doing the same thing all the time.

This one is a family chore chart with three hooks hanging from each person's name. The chores are rotated weekly.

Screen Painting

These snowman paintings are done on replacement window screen.

They'd probably be cuter if I had them in better frames.
